An ice cream social with Dietsch’s Ice Cream will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Ada First United Methodist Church, 301 North Main St.

The menu includes a Hot Sandwich Brownie, Sides, Beverages and Make your own Ice Cream
Sundae.

Suggested donation will be $8.00, for children under 10, $4.00.

This event is sponsored by Ada First United Women in Faith.

FROM FACEBOOK__Beatitudes Lunch and Bingo is June 3 at noon.

Lunch is provided by Hardin County United Way.

At the veterans monument in Ada’s Woodlawn Cemetery, members of the Foss-Agin-Meyer Post of the American Legion and Ream-McElroy VFW Post 9381 led Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday, May 26.

Matt Crawford, Commander of the American Legion post, welcomed visitors and led the following program amid veterans’ graves adorned with American flags.

MAY 24 MEDIA RELEASE__On Wednesday, May 28, from 5:00 to 6:30, or until we run out, St. Mark Lutheran Church at the corner of Lincoln and Johnson in Ada will be serving up it's monthly Community Meal. 

This month's menu consist of spaghetti bake, garlic bread, salad, fruit, and a cookie.  The meal is free and open to the public. You may dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside service. 

We ask that you call 419-792-0911 before noon on Tuesday if you require more than 8 meals to ensure that we have enough.  As always, we look forward to serving you. 

The registration for Hardin County Summer Career Exploration Program--an opportunity for anyone in grades 9-12--will be kept open through May 30. 

This is a hands-on summer program to explore careers in behavioral health, social work and human services while eaming a stipend and gaining valuable experience.

Students will receive a $30 per day stipend with the opportunity to eam $120 over the 4-day series.

Ada residents have two opportunities this week to meet new Village Administrator Amanda Sears.

The Village will host a meet and greet from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 at the Ada Municipal Building, 115 W. Buckeye Ave.

Sears will also be featured at the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce member meeting on Wednesday, May 21 at 8:30 a.m. at the Ada Public Library. 

Jamie Hall, who has been the Village Administrator for 11 years, will retire in June 2025.
