The Ada After Prom Chili Cookoff Fundraiser is an opportunity to show off your Bulldog pride and chili-making skills on Friday, September 22--at the homecoming football game vs. Bluffton.

To enter, Email June Zimmerman at [email protected]. There is a $25 entry fee to participate in the competition. 

Contestants will bring a crock pot of their mouthwatering chili to War Memorial Stadium before the football game. Detailed instructions are provided once you enter.

ONU Professor Emeritus Andy Ludanyi will speak of his memoir My American Roadtrip for Phi Beta Delta, the honorary for international scholars, on Tuesday September 12 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Elzay Gallery in the Wilson Art Building.

The event is free and open to the public. 

Ludanyi came to the United States from Hungary with his family following World War II. He taught at ONU for 40 years, and has many interesting stories to tell about the journey that brought him to Ada.

The Beatitudes Community Meal for Sept 7 has been cancelled due to the organizer being exposed to COVID.

Six softball teams will be competing for bragging rights as the winners of the first Patrick Archer Memorial Softball Tournament and Fundraiser on September 2.

In addition to the games, there will be food, and raffle baskets. The event is an opportunity to help establish scholarships at Ada High School, Allen East High School and Apollo Career Center for seniors pursuing a career in a skilled trade. Proceeds will also benefit the United Support Memorial for Workplace Fatalities (USMWF).

The event is held in memory of Ada resident Patrick Archer who was killed in a workplace accident in November 2021.

The August 26 Punt, Pass & Kick competition at Dial-Roberson Stadium was a demonstration of youthful energy and heart. Boys and girls ages 6-15, in the company of a small army of volunteers tested their football skills versus their peers. The winners in each age group for each skill category–punt, pass, kick, run and jump–will be given the opportunity to compete at a national competition in Las Vegas.

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a day full of events on Saturday, August 26 under the umbrella of the 7th annual Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival. The celebration includes family-friendly sports, entertainment and food opportunities. The itinerary below lists opportunities to compete, watch and listen, eat, dance and enjoy.
