Artspace/Lima and Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District collaboration

On Tuesday, December 20, ArtSpace/Lima will highlight its partnership with the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District (JAMPD) with two events.  

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., there will be a reception for the winning photographers from the JAMPD  photography contest. The work is currently on display and will remain up until December 31.

The next Hardin County Astronomy Club meeting will be held December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Kenton in the Veteran's Meeting Room. 

Topics for the meeting will be the Artemis missions to the moon and the constellation Lacerta.

DIY NATURE - CONSTELLATION PICTURES
Register by December 9

On Tues., Dec. 13 at 7:00 p.m., the Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District will offer DIY Nature - Constellation Pictures at the McElroy Environmental Education Center, 2355 Ada Rd., Lima.

The invitation: “Learn about the constellations in the night sky and the stories that are behind  them. We’ll then create a constellation picture that can light up and take it home.  No need to dress for the weather, we’ll be indoors for the entire program.”

The Alger Public Library has issued a December calendar of events at https://www.algerlibrary.org/calendar, also attached.

Regular events include Preschool Storytime at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays.

A wide variety of holiday and seasonal crafts are scheduled including a handprint penguin and bell ornament. 

Other activities are a Hot Chocolate Bar on December 21 and Gingerbread House Contest on December 22. Puzzle Night is scheduled for December 28.

The library will be closed on Monday, December 26.

9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Ada Railroad Depot

Hardin County and the Village of Ada are planning to apply for a grant to make improvements in the community. The Village is holding a meeting to discuss the preliminary survey results with residents and introduce developing community projects.

The meeting will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 3, 2022, in the Ada Railroad Depot, 110 Central Avenue, Ada, Ohio. For more information, please call the Village Hall at 419-634-4045.
