Photography competition reception and crows talk with Daniel Hodges
Artspace/Lima and Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District collaboration
On Tuesday, December 20, ArtSpace/Lima will highlight its partnership with the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District (JAMPD) with two events.
Beginning at 5:00 p.m., there will be a reception for the winning photographers from the JAMPD photography contest. The work is currently on display and will remain up until December 31.
From 6:00-7:00 p.m., there will be a gallery talk by Dan Hodges, environmental education supervisor from the park district. The talk will be about crows. The American Crow is one of the most recognizable birds in North America. Their opportunistic nature and adaptability make them incredibly successful, but the ingenuity and inquisitiveness of these birds make them stand out among their avian cousins as some of the smartest animals on the planet.
Crows are featured in two of the galleries at ArtSpace/Lima’s current exhibition, “Lost. Recovered. Reborn.”
Both events are free and open to the public.
