Grand reopening held Tuesday afternoon in downtown community center

Renaming an established business can be a difficult task.

Ada’s ReStore board approached the task head on and chose a new name that best describes the community center’s purpose: Beatitudes. The tag line for the new name follows: Where blessings are iven and hope is restored.

The new name is from Matthew chapter 5, also known as the Sermon on the Mount.

As the center’s director, Robert Kanzig, told the audience of nearly 75 persons who attended the re-opening, “We chose the name after significant discussion. We believe it represents who we are and what we are trying to do.”

Beatitudes ribbon cutting was Tuesday. From left, Mike Prichard, Deb Curlis, Kathy Dirmeyer, Linda Ferguson, Linda Dearth, Karen Ward (with sissors), Robert Kanzig, Don Traxler and Jamie Hall. Click here for the story and additional photos.
