Oct 1918 Co. G. sounded the “taps” each evening from the railroad park.

For the second consecutive week, senior Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week after a historic 800-meter race at the Grand Valley State (Mich.) Big Meet on Saturday.

Richards earned the honor for the second time this season.

After posting the third fastest time in Div. III history in the 800-meter run two weekends ago, Richards followed her performance up with an even more impressive race at the GVSU Big Meet.

ONU sophomore Jeff Andrews (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Feb. 12.

The sophomore earned the honor for the first time in his career.

Andrews posted a perfect 4-0 record at the Mid-States Invitational in the 149-pound weight class.

After winning with a tech fall in his first match of the invitational, Andrews recorded two major decisions and a decision to lead the way for ONU.

Fifty years ago this week a new library opened in Ada. It was the Heterick Memorial Library on the Ohio Northern University campus. It began with ground breaking ceremonies in August 1966. In February 1968, students helped to carry the library's collection from Presser Hall to the new building, as shown in this photo. The 50-year celebration takes place at 1 p.m., Wednesday.

The Polar Bears (126-37 overall) earned the team honor for the second consecutive season under ninth-year head coach Jason Maus.

Borger, a 2017 First Team All-OAC honoree and 2017 All-Great Lakes Region honoree, earned the individual honor for the first time in his career.
