Santa like Ada - and Ada likes Santa

...there's always a red suit, but at times he's thin...see for yourself

By Monty Siekerman
Santa has visited Ada many times in the past month as these Ada Icon photos attest. To see more of where he has been in Ada check out the photos at the bottom of this story.

Santa sometimes appears a little stocky, sometimes thinner, sometimes short or tall. One time he was caught by the camera with glasses.

But, he's always jolly, loves kids, and wears the read and white suit he's known for. Some days, Santa's beard is thick and full. Other tines the beard is little scraggly, but that's when Mrs. Claus didn't give her approval before he left the workshop.

Adding candy canes

Markenna Conaway, 11, adds some candy canes to a fruit basket on Tuesday morning. The Ada Church of Christ and First United Methodist Church made 116 fruit baskets which were delivered Tuesday and Wednesday to senior citizens, shut-ins, and people with disabilities. Donations for the annual gift-giving project come from the two churches and Kroger's and Rudolph's in Findlay. Dana Walters has headed up the project for many years. (Monty Siekerman photo)
