Some of you may be familiar with the idiom “don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” The expression is interpreted as a person that invests or commits all their energy or resources into a single opportunity or goal at the risk of losing everything. We were often given this advice to make sure that we had a backup plan or a plan B so that if the original goal did not come to fruition, we had an alternative. (When you say plan B to a healthcare professional, we often think of the commercially available product for emergency contraception known as Plan B®.)

The CDC has now authorized a Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot for previous Pfizer recipients who meet the certain criteria. Please note: Moderna and Johnson and Johnson/Janssen Vaccines do not have boosters available at this time.
The qualifications for a Covid-19 booster shot include:
Previously received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (two-part series)
Received their 2nd dose at least 6 months prior to getting the booster
In 1963, Bob Dylan released the song Blowing in the Wind and it became an anthem for the American Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. His lyrics included “The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind….Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn’t see? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind.” Bob Dylan is a prolific songwriter who continues to produce music. His latest album release was Rough And Rowdy Ways in 2020. Bob Dylan has won 10 Grammy Awards, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Nobel Prize in Literature. He had a history of touring around the world until the pandemic hit and that ended the “The Never Ending Tour” for Bob Dylan.
The Ada Visiting Nurses & Hospice, 1200 S. Main St., will host a Red Cross blood drive on September 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
