The Ada softball team was seeded sixth out of 11 teams in the Div. IV Wapakoneta sectional/district drawings held Sunday. The Lady Bulldogs (8-10) begin defense of their 2018 district title when they host seventh seed Maron Local (5-11) Monday, May 6 at 5 p.m. in first round play.
The Ada/ML victor will then play at third seed Ft. Recovery Thursday, May 9 in the sectional finals at 5 p.m.
That winner will advance to the Wapak district semifinals May 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Ada Public Library's staff is preparing for its summer reading program and could use some assistance from its patrons.

Vicki Mills of Noteworthy Community Choir announces this summer’s early bird registration for Summer Sounds Choral Camp. Persons registering by Wednesday, May 15, will have a $75 tuition. Registrations after May 15 are $85.
Noteworthy Community Choir will host its first-ever choral camp for 1st - 8th graders held at Ohio Northern University during the week of July 15 to 19. The camp takes place from Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon, and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mills said that the summer music camp includes choir, musicianship, movement, and Orff sessions culminate in a 12:30 p.m. concert on Friday, July 19.
William Edward Gunther, 77, died on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 7:05 PM at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Ohio.
He was born on April 3, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to William and Wilhelmine (Schmaldienst) Gunther, who preceded him in death. On September 21, 1963 he married Cora Lea Inmon and she survives in Dunkirk.
