Ada High School graduate Benjamin Bowers was recently named to the Denison University dean's list for the fall of 2018. To be named to the list students must have earned a semester grade point average of at least 3.7 for 12 hours or more.

ADA - Seventeen days after their first meeting, the final result was similar between backyard rivals Upper Scioto Valley and Ada in a Monday night makeup contest.

The visiting Rams shot the lights out again to win their annual non-league boys hoop grudge match convincingly, 72-37. The game was originally slated for Jan. 12 before being snowed out.

Red-hot USV raced to a 26-9 margin after one period and stretched the advantage to 45-21 by intermission. The Rams led by as many as 40 points before Ada closed the game on a 7-2 run.

According to the ONU College of Art and Design Facebook, yesterday was Professor Eddings’ birthday. Stop in the office and wish her a happy birthday.

James Kelly Webb was born on May 19, 1946, in Leander, Kentucky to Charles and Opal (Williams) Webb.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lima, Ohio.  The family moved to Ohio in 1951. 

Jim grew up with four brothers and one sister: Charles “Chuck” (dec.) (Nancy) Webb of Springdale, AR, Steve (Pat) Webb of Lima, Roger (Nita) Webb of Springdale, AR and Gary (dec.) (Barbara) Webb of Ada and Deborah (Butch (dec.) Sanders of Bluffton.
