The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes held a 4-H meeting on June 18th in the Hardin Northern Ag Building.  Recreation for the night was Chicken Pick by Makenna Eibling.  The meeting was lead by Rylee Bame.  The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Mary Ann Woodruff and the 4-H Pledge by Casey Clem.  There were 32 members present, 3 guests, and 9 advisers.  Discussed at the meeting was the chip factory field trip time and day.  All livestock and still projects were discussed on progress and where they were expected to be by next meeting.  4-H clover sheets were also turned in.  Trivia was given by Preston Wykes and Wesley Newton.  The meeting was adjourned by Wesley Newton and seconded by Heidi Trac

The Ada Historical Society will hold its July monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16 at the Ada Public Library, 320 N. Main St.The program will feature filmed highlights of the 1953 Ada centennial parade. All are welcome to attend.

The Slagle Lumber Company was located at 119 West Buckeye Avenue, Ada, just west of the Opera House and continued to the corner of North Gilbert Street. 

It became the Root King Lumber Company from 1931-1941 then Mr. King bought out his partner Mr. Root and it was called King Lumber Company from 1941-1954.

It then became Steinman Lumber Company from 1954 to 1971 and Ada Lumber Company in 1972. Amburgey Construction owned the building until 2003 and the Ada Village now owns the property. All but the right hand corner is gone and the rest is now a parking lot.

TTIME42 -It's the license plate of a tea lover or golfer. The Icon spotted this plate in Ada earlier this spring.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main, from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 9.

This month's project is sunflowers in a Ball jar

Embrace your inner artist with the July PaintINN at The Inn at ONU. Painting is Sunflowers in Ball Jar on a canvas. The event starts at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 12.

You'll work under the guidance of a trained professional to create a beautiful canvas, all while enjoying delicious food and drink. 

All supplies, food, a beverage and fun are included. Please bring your friends and family for a unique evening together. To plan accordingly, some PaintINN projects can take three or more hours.

All materials are supplied and the price is $ 43 per person. Prices are subject to applicable taxes and gratuity. The July project does not include frame.
