• September 1,1909 Petition to have Mill Street changed to Lincoln and another petition changing Hooser to Highland. Normal Street changed to College. Margaret Street had been changed to Main Street before 1904. Williams on one side of Main and Peach on the other were changed to University.

They played basketball in Ada in 1931

That's correct. Earlier in this month the Icon posted the photograph of the Ada High School girls' basketball team from the 1930-31 school year.

Here's the boys' team from that school year, now 85 seasons ago. Perhaps there's a great-grandfather of your's on this squad of purple and gold.

Is that a dial telephone of the right side of the counter? 

What exactly is a dial telephone? In 1980-81, these students probably answered the phone. These are the student office workers from 35 school years ago.
