Thank you!
According to the unofficial results from the Hardin County Board of Elections, the Village of Ada Renewal Levy to support the Ada Municipal Pool has passed! The passage of the renewal levy will allow continued operations and maintenance at your Ada pool for the next 20 years.

Reminder – Leaf pick up season starts Monday

As you may have seen in your September water bill, the village will once again be conducting leaf pick up this fall. The first scheduled date of pick up is Monday, Nov. 3.

If you would like to have the village pick up your leaves, below are a few guidelines that you are asked to follow:
•  Please rake leaves only to the tree lawn area the day prior to your scheduled pick up. If there is debris or any material other than leaves in the piles, the village will not pick up your leaves, and you will be responsible for disposing of the leaves and debris. Debris could include, but is not limited to, tree branches, twigs and yard waste.

Village Voice: Ghouls, goblins and witches hit the sidewalks of Ada

The annual haunting of Ada’s Main Street and sidewalks takes place next week.

On Monday, Oct. 27, the annual Halloween parade sponsored by the Ada Kiwanis takes place. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., in the parking lot behind the Municipal Building. The parade begins at 6 p.m. The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce and the Buy Local committee will also take part in the festivities with soup and pie cook-offs. Several area businesses will be open until 8 p.m., and horse drawn wagon rides will add to the downtown excitement.

The Village Voice: Don't forget to vote Nov. 4

Early voting on the November ballot is underway in Ohio, and local citizens have a number of initiatives to consider. For more information on voting, issues and candidates, please visit the Hardin County Board of Elections website at http://co.hardin.oh.us/boe/.

Included on the ballot is a Village of Ada proposed municipal income tax renewal. This proposed levy is for a continuation of the current 0.15% levy on income tax, so it does not result in an increase in taxes. The stated purpose of the levy is for repairs, maintenance, operations and improvements at the Village of Ada’s swimming pool.

Village Voice: Main-Lima intersection closed on Thursday

The Village Voice: The reconstruction of East Lima Avenue continues to progress well. The crews have reached a point in construction where it is necessary to close South Main Street at the Lima Avenue intersection to allow the crews to safely work on paving.

This closure is planned to begin Thursday, Oct. 2. Detours will be posted for the area.

Please keep in mind your safety and the safety of the crews working. Do not move barricades or attempt to drive or walk through areas that have been marked as “closed.”

Village Voice: Another great Harvest and Herb Festival

Another great Harvest and Herb Festival filled Main Street on Saturday! Downtown Ada was full of people, festival food, vendors and of course, the parade. Ada certainly put its best face forward.

This year, the beautiful flower baskets on our decorative light poles in the Depot had a light shown on them during the Harvest and Herb Festival. Many people stopped by to admire the flower baskets and donate to the flower fund. We want to thank everyone for the appreciative words and donations to the fund!
