ADA __Two Ada High School baseball players received All-Blanchard Valley Conference honors in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.

Bulldog junior shortstop/pitcher Wes Mowery earned honorable mention all-league notice. Mowery led the team with a .377 batting average. He collected 23 hits, five doubles and 14 runs batted in. He also stole nine bases and struck out 26 batters in 24 innings pitching.

Versatile Ada freshman pitcher/catcher/shortstop Robert Shanks received honorable mention all-conference status. Shanks hit .370 with 18 RBI and 18 runs. 

MEDIA RELEASE__The Ada Exempted Village Schools have issued the following 4th Quarter Honor Roll for the 2025-2026 school year.

The list includes honorees in grades 4-12.

MEDIA RELEASE_The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program in Hardin County will host their annual ‘An Evening Garden Affair’ on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM.

The program will feature an educational presentation about native plants by speaker Chad Carrell of The Native Pathways Nursery and Hancock Park District. Participants will learn what native plants are, why they are important, why they should be planted, and how to incorporate them into their own landscapes.

From Hardin County Ohio State University Extension; three summer gardening workshops

MEDIA RELEASE_The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program in Hardin County has planned three educational workshops throughout the summer.

The first workshop will be held on June 16, which will be all about oak trees and celebrating the 250 birthday celebration of the United States of America. There will be a dedication of the oak trees planted in the garden and talks by the Division of Forestry and the Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Refreshments will also be provided.
