Ohio Northern University’s James F. Dicke College of Business Administration honored alumnus Larry Boord with an Outstanding Service Award on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The award, given annually at Homecoming, honors individuals who have provided sustained and outstanding service to, and whose contributions have positively impacted, the Dicke College of Business Administration and Ohio Northern. This is the sixth year that Outstanding Service Awards has been presented by the College.

ADA — Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the Ohio Northern University Symphony Orchestra with a performance of “Nature” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18.
Works include “Die Moldau” by Bedřich Smetana, “Rusty Air in Carolina” for orchestra and electronica by living composer Mason Bates, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 (“Pastorale”). The electronica part for “Rusty Air in Carolina” will be played on a laptop by Sarah Waters, associate professor of music and percussion instructor at ONU. The electronica part will include unique sounds that are rarely heard in conjunction with an orchestra.
ADA — Ohio Northern University’s James F. Dicke College of Business Administration will present “Evolution of a Family Business,” a lecture by Robert Gronlund, as part of the Carroll V. Lovett Distinguished Lecture Series in the Dicke Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.
ADA — The Ohio Northern University Mu Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi kicked off recruiting season with the second annual “Meet the Firms Night” on Sept. 4 in the ONU McIntosh Ballroom.
More than 50 students attended the event, including undergraduate accounting majors and concentrations as well as Master of Professional Practice in Accounting and Juris Doctor candidates, with 12 accounting firms, including Big Four, regional and local firms. The event gave students the chance to network and pursue internships or full-time opportunities.
The Ohio Northern University chapter of Phi Mu Delta will hold a philanthropy dine to donate at Viva Maria's from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6. Ten percent of all proceeds will be support Phi Mu Delta's philanthropy, St. Jude's Hospital.
There is no ticket necessary for entry to the dinner.
