NAPOLEON–The Ada High School girls and boys swim teams competed at the tough 17-team Napoleon Wildcat Invitational on Saturday, December 13.

Bryan captured the boys team crown with 377 points. Lima Shawnee was a distant second with 274 points. The Ada boys also came in ninth with 84 points.

Host Napoleon won the girls team title with 402 points. Ottawa-Glandorf took second with 371 points. The Bulldog girls finished 11th with 31 points.

MIDDLE POINT–The Ada High School boys wrestling team competed at the annual Lancer Invitational on Saturday, December 13.

The Bulldog grapplers finished 15th out of 18 teams with 101 points.

Shawnee won the team crown with 300 points, while Van Buren was second (282.5).

Ada senior Silas Riblet won the 126 lbs. title. He recorded three pins to go 3-0 in pool play to advance to the final four. In the semifinals, he won 14-9. In the 126 championship bout, Riblet pinned Robert Tyas of Crestview in 3:14 to clinch the individual weight title.

Riblet finished 5-0 in the tournament.

ADA–The Ada High School boys basketball team handed visiting non-conference foe Lincolnview its first defeat of the season 64-63 in an overtime thriller on Saturday, December 13.

Bulldog senior Zack Zimmerman drilled a clutch three-pointer at the buzzer of regulation to tie it 58-58 and force overtime.  

Then, with the Lancers ahead 63-62, Ada junior Carson Conley splashed two free throws with 2.3 seconds left in the extra session to provide the winning margin.

“Great team effort,” said veteran Bulldog head coach Chris Sautter. “We got huge plays from Zack Zimmerman and Carson Conley.

In November 2025, two students at Jacomet’s Martial Arts, 121 S Main St, Bluffton, became the first Gen Yuan Kempo black belts produced at the school. What makes this even more special is that the two are father and son, Josh and Jason Gillespie.

Thank you to Miss Daniels' 3rd-grade class at Ada Elementary for sharing their letters to Santa. There will be three more installments. Today we have letters from Bryson, Eastlyn, Ellie, Kaniya, Kamden and Madeline.

Dear Santa,

I was wondering what you do in the middle of the night if your reindeer get tired when you are flying? I am very excited for Christmas this year!!!

On Friday, December 12, Beatitudes community center, 210 N. Main St., shared, "A huge Thank you to Ada VFW for their donation to our children's programs. Their plaque was added to our Wall of Blessings today."
