As part of America 250 celebrations, the State of Ohio has created an Ohio Innovation Trail to illustrate that "Ohio has produced wave after wave of problem-solvers whose ideas reshape how we move, manufacture, protect, power, feed, and heal – then and now." At the bottom of the Icon home page, you'll find four "hoppers" with historical, obituaries, photos and videos posted on the Icon since it was established in 2009. The 2011 article The Charles Company - downtown Bluffton caught my eye today because it resembles current images of Black Friday frenzies.
FROM ADA SCHOOLS REMIND__As colder weather arrives, the Ada Schools are seeing longer and slower morning drop-off lines. To help improve the flow of traffic and reduce frustration, 1) Have your child ready to exit the vehicle as you approach the unloading zone; 2) Your child should exit promptly. When 8–10 cars unload at the same time, the line moves much more efficiently; 3) Parking in the drop-off lot will no longer be permitted. Walking children across moving traffic creates safety concerns and slows the overall drop-off process.
ADA–The Ada High School girls basketball team crushed visiting Perry 76-9 in a non-conference mismatch on Saturday, December 6.
The Bulldog girls raced to a 22-3 lead after one quarter, and the hosts ballooned the margin to 42-6 at halftime. Ada won the second half 34-3, including a 16-0 shutout in the final stanza.
The Bulldog girls improved to 3-2 overall with the lopsided victory.
Perry fell to 0-3 overall after the resounding defeat.
Ada freshman Te’a Griffth led all scorers with 16 points. Senior Ashley Hevlin tallied a career-high 14 points, and senior Anna Conley also netted 14 markers.
