June 1925 Harry Mohr has the distinction of being the first to have an automatic water softener installed in his new home on North Gilbert .

August 1925 the Ku Klux Klan held a meeting on the Harding farm, south of Woodlawn cemetery.

September 1925 for the first time, Ada employed two policemen for day and night duty.

September 1925 a set of rules was formulated for Ohio Northern freshmen-among others, the wearing of orange and black “beanies”.

Darlene Carter, age 58, died on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 12:07 a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

          She was born on November 10, 1959 in Lima, Ohio to the late Mitchell and Omalee (Patton) Bailey.  On May 15, 1993 Darlene married Gary Carter and he survives in Lima.

          Darlene was a homemaker and she owned her own cleaning service.

It took just three years for the Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team to be recognized with the Ohio Athletic Conference's elite programs, earning a regular season OAC title during the 2018 campaign under 3rd-year head coach Nat St. Laurent.

The Polar Bears had a historic year that featured numerous broken records and an OAC regular season title after going 14-3 overall and posting a 7-1 record in the conference.

A school-record nine Ohio Northern players were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in men's lacrosse for 2018.
