Ohio Northern University will host its annual Alumni Weekend from Friday to Sunday, June 1-3.
The class of 1968 will have a special celebration dinner on June 1 for its 50-year class reunion. All other classes celebrating 55, 60, 65 and 70 years will have an opportunity to celebrate at the Alumni Association luncheon on June 2. Even if it is not a reunion year, alumni are encouraged to return to ONU from the classes of 1968 and earlier to celebrate ONU from their time as students.
While on campus, alumni may participate in special programs and events as well as connect with former classmates.
TIFFIN - An Ada boys relay team competed in day one of the Div. III track and field regional meet at Tiffin Wednesday evening.
The Bulldog 4 x 800 relay foursome of Michael Crouse, Reece Evans, Carson Hissong and Miguel Jordan finished 13th out of 16 quartets in the finals with a time of 8:48.98.
Liberty Center won the boys regional 4 x 800 relay race in a time of 8:08.03.
Ada junior Noah Mattson has the second-best district qualifying toss (50-1) among the 16-man regional field in the shot put, which will be held Friday.

FINDLAY - Defiance Tinora scored on the only extra-base hit of an extra-inning pitcher's duel with two outs in the eighth to win the Div. IV regional softball semifinals 3-2 over a valiant Ada squad on a warm Wednesday evening at Marathon Diamonds in Findlay.
With two out in the bottom of the eighth, Tinora junior outfielder Aubrey Reineke lofted a long drive to right field for a triple that scored pinch runner Lexi Miles with the winning run.
The Lady Bulldogs ended their season 17-9 with the heartbreaking loss. Meanwhile, Tinora improved to 16-6 and advanced to the state quarterfinals with the win.
The Village of Ada, Ohio Northern University, and numerous contributors have partnered to honor Union veterans of the Civil War on Memorial Day.
Commemorative bricks, each inscribed with the name, rank, and unit of 82 Civil War veterans from Ada and Liberty Township, will be dedicated at 10 on Monday in Railroad Park.
The bricks have been installed at the base of the Civil War monument in the park, which is located at Main Street and Central Avenue. The monument, a Civil War era siege cannon on a granite base, stands next to the Pennsylvania Railroad caboose and across the street to the north of Liberty National Bank.
Phil Coulson places large banners and many balloons in Ada and on the way to Findlay to support the Ada High School softball team. The Bulldog booster is the proud father of Teara, a member of the team which won its first district title on Saturday.
