On April 5, 2022, the Hardin County Homemakers held their annual Spring Achievement program at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Kenton, OH, with 46 homemakers and guests in attendance. Five district and state officers with their guests were in attendance from Marion and Fulton counties. Roll call was taken by Janice Durenberger and Elaine Hoover.
This year’s theme was “Homemakers are the Bee’s Knees”. Homemaker council president Janice Durenberger welcomed the participants by reading the Homemaker’s Creed.
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the addition of a new business to the village downtown district. The Shop at 111-113 S. Main St. is a retail outlet for Northwest Ohio Liquidations of Bowling Green.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27.
The Shop opened for business on Saturday, April 23.

Oxie “O.C.” Neeley, 81 years old, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 10:41 AM at his residence in Forest.
He was born on March 1, 1941, to the late Betty Jane Pinks and Oxie Neeley of Salyersville, Kentucky. O.C. was married to Connie “Rutledge” Neeley for 61 years.
O.C. is survived by siblings Bernice Neeley and Dan Neeley. Two children, Greg (Tracie) Neeley, Shawn (Krista-Heath) Neeley. Grandchild Ashley (Shane Hogan) Neeley and two great grandchildren Braxton and Oakleigh Hogan.
O.C. is deceased by his sisters Marthy Williams, Maxine Butler, Sally Webb, and brother J.B Neeley.
Ohio Northern assistant director of athletics Michele Durand is leaving the University to become the head women's basketball coach at the University of Findlay.
She was named assistant director of athletics on April 1, 2020, and has served as the senior women's administrator since the fall of 2016.
