English pronunciation: Liza (pronounce like Lisa but with Z)
Nationality: Russian

Major at ONU: Business Management
Icon: How did you hear about ONU?
Liza: It’s the most popular question that I get here! People are always wondering: How did you end up choosing ONU in the corn fields?! I got lucky that my program, I am a part of (The YEAR Program), has chosen it for me because otherwise, I’d do a bad job, just selecting the well-known one. Ohio Northern is a great place to study.
Corsie Arn, Ada branch operations manager of Liberty National Bank, was recognized for her many years at treasurer of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.
She was presented with an appreciation award from Deb Curlis and Heather Cox during the chamber’s annual luncheon on Feb. 19.
Arn has served as treasurer of the chamber during the years of her membership on the board. Her term expired in December.
When Don went to see Ronald Reagan campaign in Lima in 1984, he set off the beepers as he walked through a metal detector.
The Secret Service didn’t ask him to empty his pockets. They should have. His pockets were filled with Mondale for President pins. The pins set off the beepers.
That’s not the first time Don’s antics have set off beepers, and it probably won’t be the last.
Lt. Col. Matt Crawford, an Ohio National Guardsman from Ada, plays an integral part in protecting approximately 10,000 troops supporting Task Force Spartan throughout the Middle East.
Crawford, the 38th Infantry Division's protection chief, oversees and coordinates protection measures from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive attacks, engineer survivability and personnel recovery efforts.
“The protection warfighting function is about economy of force and ensuring forces are available to the commander when needed, which is why we have our rapid reaction forces and quick reaction force,” said Crawford.
