This year's Harvest and Herb Festival queen candidates

This year’s Ada Area Chamber of Commerce Harvest and Herb queen’s court was announced today by Arlene Allison, chair of the committee.

Four Ada High School girls are candidates. They are: (from left to right in the photograph):
• Senior Anabel Alexander, daughter of Robert and Shelleigh Alexander
• Senior Audrey Hazelton, daughter of Travis and Rebecca Hazelton
• Senior Allison Dotson, daughter of Carrie Dotson and Tom Dotson
• Senior Kama Arn, daughter of Scott and Corsi Arn

 

2018 Ada grad Caitlyn Stover won Showman of Showmen,

Ada sophomore Sidney Gossard won 4th place of the Showman of Showmen at the Hardin County Fair.

Holden Perry, first place division winner, barrow, at the Hardin County Fair.

Callie Burgess, Ada fourth grader, earned several awards at the Hardin County Fair, including:
Champion Natural Colored Ewe in both the Junior Fair and Open Sheep Shows;
Champion White Long Wool Ewe in both the Junior and Open Sheep Shows;
7th place in showmanship; and
1st place in the wool lead-in contest.

Retired Engineering Professor Bob Ward was caught by the camera at the Hardin County Fair standing by a bigger-than-lifesize likeness of him painted on the side of the ONU Mobile Clinic.

Ada High School student Austin Amburgey has had a stellar week at the fair. In the rabbit show, he won Overall Reserve Champion Commercial Buck, Champion Senior Buck New Zealand, Reserve Champion Senior Doe New Zealand, Reserve Champion Junior Doe Mini Rex and placed second in Showmanship. In poultry he placed fourth in showmanship. And, he is a member of the Junior Fair Board.
