15 Minutes with Allen Jenkins, 2013 AHS Grad
Interview by Bailey Bowers

What have you been up to since your graduation from Ada High School?
After high school, I chose to go to college at Bowling Green State University and pursue a business degree specializing in Accounting and Finance. Some people may be confused about the word specializing because most business schools don't have specializations. At BG, all business students earn a BS in Business Administration and then they chose to specialize in an area of business.

At the year-end Ada Junior High School awards assembly 227 students were recognized. Student recognition was based upon Most Improved, Outstanding Effort, Academic Excellence and Membership in an organization.

The entire list of students recognized is in the attachment at the bottom of this story.

The last meeting of the Hardin Co. Hootenannies 4-H club was held at the Kenton Ag Credit meeting room. There were 14 members present. This was our mandatory Quality Assurance day.

President Megan Williams opened the meeting. Sean Hurley led us in the American Flag pledge and Isaac Davis led the 4-H pledge. Old business included the decision not to take care of the flowers at the courthouse. We will be helping with the YMCA Triathlon in July as a community service.

Almost everyone has a board game memory.

Maybe playing Candy Land, Yahtzee, Chutes and Ladders or even Battleship revives pleasant memories.

Thomas (Tom) Crownhart of Ada continues to compile his board game memories. Tom grew up in a military family who moved frequently. Tom recalls always playing board games with his family and 10 siblings. “Monopoly, Life, Trouble, any board game,” says Tom.

During the end-of-year Ada High School scholastics honors assembly 189 high school students were recognized for achievements made during the 2013-14 school year. The recognition was given for outstanding work in classrooms and in organizations in the school

Student recognition categories included:
Most improve,
