Evan Smittle, a graduate of Ada High School majoring in theatre acting and directing and arts management and entrepreneurship, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester at Baldwin Wallace University.

Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean's List.

Eli Garmon and Caitlyn Stover, both Ada HS grads, are recipients of endowed scholartship for 2020-21 at the University of Findlay.

Garmon was awarded the John and Margaret Firmin Scholarship. Stover, the William and Lucye Hoopes Scholarship.

 

Both seniors are active in school and community organizations

Barrette Jones and Jacob Bassitt, Ada High School seniors, are the January Elks Ada teenagers of the month.

Barrette is active in many school activities. These include student council, cheerleading, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, Varsity Singers show choir, Language Club, Film Club, Ada vocal ensemble, track, and junior class officer.

Ada High School sophomores will be among more than 600 sophomores in Apollo Career Center’s 11-member district visiting Apollo during  411Blast, scheduled Jan. 25-28.

Ada students will visit from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

The day exposes students to possibilities and paths available for their career and, or college success. Students choose two programs of interest and then spend one-half day visiting those labs, meeting the instructors and participating in fun, interactive demos and activities.

What classes are you taking this semester? 
I am taking Anatomy/Physiology, Advanced Chemistry CC+, AP US History, Spanish 3, Calculus 2, Government, Composition 2.

Which one is the most difficult and why? 
Calculus 2 is most difficult because I am taking it at ONU. 

The following area students are on the fall Rhodes State College dean’s list. Full-time students must be enrolled in at least 12 hours and earn a 3.5 grade point or higher. Part-time students must be enrolled in at least 6 but not more than 11 credit hours and earn a 3.5 grade or higher.
