The 2014 Ada Farmers' and Merchants' Picnic is over, but here's a chance to look back at some of the highlights from this year's picnic. What's your favorite part? Petting zoo, tractor pull, games, food, music, parade or just the entire event?
Bailey Bowers took lots of photos and you have view them in the scrapbook at the bottom of this story.
The last meeting of the Hardin Co. Hootenannies was at Meadow and Callie Cromer’s farm. President Megan Williams opened and asked Levi Beiler to lead the American Pledge and Laura Spradlin to lead the 4-H Pledge. There were 12 members present, many parents and one special guest.
Everyone was reminded about livestock judging and asked if they needed any last minute help. It is important to have your books completed.
Our sign for the fair is closer to being done. Different goats are being painted on the 4-H clover. The wonderful artist, Sara Hoenshel, who is going to be painting them, was there to meet us.
There's more high-powered tractors in Ada than you might realize. Fifty-six youth entered this year's Ada Farmers and Merchants Picnic pedal pull, coordinated by the Ada Kiwanis Club.
