In an effort to protect our patients, visitors, physicians and staff from COVID-19, Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton, OhioHealth, has implemented the following visitor restrictions at all OhioHealth hospitals effective Monday, March 16 at 7 a.m.
Visitor guidelines:
Visitors must be 18 years or older
Patients will be limited to one visitor at a time, up to two visitors per day, in most areas of the hospital
Maternity patients will be limited to one support person during their entire length of stay
In-person Behavioral Health visits will no longer be permitted due to the common space these require
In the wake of the current healthcare climate, Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS), will be limiting visitation to all areas of the organization.
The new guidelines allow for one visitor per day per patient. No children (under 16 years of age) will be permitted to enter patient care areas.
At this time, there have been no changes to scheduled appointments. However, this is continuously being evaluated.
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio
The Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio campuses of Mennonite Memorial Home, Willow Ridge, Maple Crest and Hilty Home will no longer allow visitors as of today (March 13) at 3 p.m.
The Hardin County Health Department sent the following announcement on Friday:
The Health Department wants to keep the public as informed on the current status of the COVID-19 situation.
We want to remind community members that you want to ensure you are getting your information from a credible source. We will put out information as we have it, in a timely manner.

As of 11 p.m., Monday, March 16, the Ohio Department of Health has closed polling locations and the March 17 primary election will not take place today.
As a primary election voters will request either a Republican ballot, Democrat ballot, non-partisan or Libertarian ballot.
All voters within the Ada school district, regardless of party affiliation, will vote on the Proposed Income Tax Renewal levy from Ada Schools.
Through an Ohio Alerts message today Ada schools have created a survey for parents related to continuation of free breakfast and lunches to school children off the school campus. The survey regards meals over the next three weeks.
In preparation for that decision and to help with planning, the school asks families to complete the survey as soon as possible.
The school asks that the only persons to complete the survey are those needing meals or are willing to assist if needed.
