Legos climb the walls at Ada elementary this month and the words on the Legos are written by Ada elementary students.
Using the theme “connect” – appropriate for the plastic blocks – students in Kindergarten through sixth grade are understanding what connects them as a class, school and community.
During a focus time earlier this month, each student identified one way that student is unique and one way that student connects to someone else in class.

Ada and Liberty Township and neighboring municipal governments will receive funds from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) as part of the agency’s rollout this week of $172 million in dividend checks to Ohio’s public employers.
October and November in Ada – where do we begin? It takes four pages of single-space typing to tell the entire story.
It begins on Oct. 1 with a visit from the mobile dentist at Ada schools. Then, there’s the open house of the James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building, followed by homecomings for both Ohio Northern University and Ada High School.
Don’t forget all the Halloween-related community events, library storytime with the Lima Symphony Orchestra, Ada Music Boosters Music Feast, parent-teacher conference, and concluding in late November with a breakfast with Santa at The Inn at ONU.

State Route 103 just east of Hancock County Road 183, between the villages of Arlington and Mount Blanchard, will close Monday, Sept. 30, for approximately five days for a culvert replacement.
Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 68, U.S. 30, and state Route 37 back to state Route 103. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.
