There is a slight change in the times that presale football tickets will be sold at the Ada High School office this fall. Tickets will be sold from noon until 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays and from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Fridays.

 

Presale tickets are $4 for students and $5 for adults. Tickets at the gate are $6 for students and adults.

Mud volleyball fundraiser supports Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Mud volleyball lived up to its name on Friday evening when ONU students got down and got dirty for a good cause.

Proceeds from the Founders Hall tournament support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Kenton. The fundraiser provides monthly books for children. The event has been a residence life tradition at ONU for 25 years.

It's a pre-season festival.

The Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival, concluding with a football drop moved from Super Bowl Eve to the NLF preseason this year.

The third festival took place on Saturday and, despite a rainy start, ended with a large crowd in a festive mood in the Ada railroad depot park.

The Icon will post festival photos throughout the week. We start things off with the conclusion and will work backward. Here's Monty Siekerman's photos of the festival as the evening headed to the football drop countdown.

60 "Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival" footballs will be for sale

Festival goers may purchase a football for $75 and watch it be made. One purchase per person, only 60 balls will be made.

The sale begins at 11 a.m. inside the Depot with the actual making of the balls under the big tent beginning at 1 p.m. Those who purchase a ball may write a message on the inside with a marker.

As the school year gets started

School is in session and here are some news items from Ada High School from the school website.

FILM CLUB T-SHIRT ORDER FORMS: are now available in both Mr. Ames' room and the high school office. Order forms are due Friday, Sept. 7.

NOTE FROM MR LUSK: Any student in grades 9-12 interested in being a member of the high school quiz bowl team is invited to a meeting in Mr. Lusk's room Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 7:45 a.m.

FOOTBALL TICKETS: Adult and student pre-sale football tickets for Friday night's football game against USV will be on sale in the high school office from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students $4, Adults $5.
