This year's Harvest and Herb Festival parade was one of the largest ever in the history of the fest'. Junior Weihrauch of Arlington, parade director, brought in several out-of-town groups to add to the familiar Ada units.

To start, here's photos of Ada civic organizations and the opening ceremonies at noon.
• "Get your popcorn here," yell Thatcher Downing and Brendan Jameson to the passing crowd at the Boy Scout booth. Popcorn sales are a fundraiser for the local Scouts.
Here's the latest happenings at Ada High School, from the school website:
VOLLEY FOR THE CURE: The Ada High school volleyball team will host a volley for the cure on Oct. 3 at the Ada gym versus Spencerville. All proceeds going to Amelia Griffin a first grader at Ada who is in remission from stage four cancer
If you were interested in purchasing a volley for the cure shirt for team Amelia see any high school volleyball player. The cost is $10 for the shirt there will be posters up around the school letting you know about the other things going on they will be lots of baked goods to purchase and other things to do.
Saturday’s Harvest and Herb Festival stretches all the way from the First United Methodist Church, just north of Highland Avenue…all the way to Lehr Avenue.
And not counting this week, over 180 vendors were already registered, making this one of the largest-ever festivals.

Ada’s 32nd annual Harvest and Herb Fest, sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, takes place Saturday in downtown Ada. The weather forecast looks for a perfect day for a street festival.
This year’s festival is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. As in past year’s, it will fill Ada’s Main Street from Highland to College. Main Street will be closed at State Route 235 all the way to State Route 81.
The festival has over 120 vendors already signed up.
