The Ada Icon recently announced that The Cadets selected Ohio Northern University as their primary spring training site. The Cadets are one of the oldest and most honored continuously operating drum and bugle corps in the country.
The Cadets have some immediate need for volunteers. Whether you are a seasoned volunteer or have never volunteered for a drum corps in your life, you are welcome.

After dinner Tara discussed health foods and gave a tour of the bus. Amy and Mark hosted about 30 diners for the event at their home, 508 N. Main.

More than 100 people enjoyed a wonderful meal and extensive auction to benefit Community Health Professionals hospice program. The fundraiser was held Thursday evening in McIntosh Center ballroom.
More the 100 donated items were auctioned. Wayne and Travis Farthing of Findlay were auctioneers. Some items were valued as much as $500.
Deb Curlis, CHP fundraising coordinator for the organization and organizer of the evening festivities, gave the welcome. Music was provided by The Jubil-Heirs.

One of the cool things about being in the third grade at Ada Elementary School is the annual Arbor Day celebration.
Each spring, the volunteers on the Ada Tree Commission visit the third graders to talk about trees. The commissioners share stories about trees, wildlife and how to plant the bare root tree each student receives from the Tree Commission.
Two ONU sororities will have charity events this weekend for the campus and community.
Alpha Xi Delta will sponsor a bake sale to support autism. The sale will be held during a double header baseball game at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, April 25, at the baseball field.
Zeta Tau Alpha will have its 8th annual Race for the Ribbon 5K starting at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 26, on the Tundra. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. with corn hole, face painting, games, and pizza. The 5K supports breast cancer education and awareness.
