RIBBON CUTTING SCHEDULED AT LOVE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at Love In The Name Of Christ (Love Inc.), located at 224 W. Columbus St., (the old City Building) in Kenton on Saturday, August 31 at 9 a.m.. A Grand Opening will also be held in conjunction with the ribbon cutting.

Love In the Name of Christ is a proven outreach model that helps Christian churches come together to help people in need. In essence people who have a need call the Love, INC office, an intake is completed and referrals are made to different agencies that may be able to assist.

Where did the summer go?

Didn’t we just celebrate the last day of school for 2012-13, the opening of the swimming pool, summer vacation, and all that goes with it?

For students, teachers and staff of Ada Exempted Village Schools, summer ends Sunday. The first day of the 2013-14 school year is Monday.

Friday afternoon a Bluffton Icon viewer notified The Icon that a fox was shot by Bluffton police between Tom Fett Road and the Maple Grove Cemetery earlier today. This location is on Columbus Grove Road, directly on the west side of Bluffton

Upon contacting Rick Skilliter, Bluffton police chief, Skilliter told The Icon: “I can confirm one animal determined to be an ill fox was destroyed and buried by village crews earlier today.”

These were taken on Sept. 12, 2012, a couple miles south of Jenera, on Township Road 29.

"Amy R" took the photos and says: "It looked sick, but not as sick as the one in the current photo you have. One of the photos looks very similar to the photo previously posted on The Icon, with a little more hair is all.

All Ada Music Department students, grades 6-12, are now selling tickets for the annual Ada Music Boosters Chicken barbecue, to be held before Ada’s first home football game of the season, Friday, Sept. 6, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The annual Chicken barbecue is a major fund-raiser for the Ada Music Boosters and proceeds benefit numerous projects for Ada’s instrumental and vocal music programs. Tickets are being sold now through Aug. 30. Contact any band or choir member to purchase tickets, or call Dave Smittle at 419-230-8147.
