Sophomore Meagan Grierson (Miamisburg) stopped three of five Otterbein penalty kicks to help the No. 13-ranked Ohio Northern women's soccer team advance to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament championships match during Wednesday afternoon's semifinal matchup at Kerscher Stadium.

The contest goes down as a tie as the top-seed Polar Bears move to 16-1-2 overall and the fourth-seeded Cardinals move to 13-4-2.

No. 18-ranked Ohio Northern swept Marietta 25-13, 25-14, 25-16 in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The second-seeded Polar Bears (26-4 overall) advance to the semifinals on Thursday night and will host third-seeded Mount Union at 7 pm at the ONU Sports Center.

The third-seeded Pioneers end their season with an 11-18 record.

The Ohio Northern men's soccer team bowed out of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament in the quarterfinal round of the OAC Tournament as it fell to Marietta 1-0 on Tuesday evening at Kerscher Stadium.

The Polar Bears fall to 12-6-2 overall, while the Pioneers improve to 11-5-3 overall and move on to play at No. 1-seeded Otterbein in the semifinals of the tournament on Thursday evening.

The Ohio Northern volleyball team moved up two spots to No. 18 in the ninth weekly American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. The Polar Bears are 25-4 overall, 8-1 Ohio Athletic Conference.

Ohio Northern went 2-0 last week with OAC victories over Baldwin Wallace and Marietta and won its 25th OAC Regular Season title in program history.

The Ohio Northern women's basketball team is ranked No. 7 in the D3Hoops.com preseason coaches poll.

The Polar Bears are coming off of a historical 2016-17 season which saw a run to the Elite 8 round of the NCAA III Tournament and the first ever undefeated regular season in school history.

Ohio Northern received 454 points in the poll.

Top three ranked are: Tufts, Mass; Christopher Newport, Va.; and Amherst, Mass.
