Meet the lacrosse coaches

Bulldog on Polar Bear women's team

Tori Wyss of Ada cheers on her teammates during a women's basketball game in King-Horn on Wednesday. Tori is a 5-8 freshman on the Polar Bear squad, which is ranked 11th nationally with an undefeated season so far.

ONU women beat Heidelberg 61-51.

Tori, the daughter of Todd and Meg Wyss, is a pharmacy student.

Dysert's circle complete: Miami Redhawks to Miami Dolphins

Attention Ada sports fans: Dump all your previous NFL sports gear and start purchasing items that say Miami Dolphins.

Dysert will be in Ada on Saturday, Jan. 30. His football jersey, number 12, will be retired. A ceremony takes place between the JV and varsity boys' basketball game between Ada and Hardin Northern.

Zac Dysert signed to the Dolphins yesterday. The move came about as the Dolphins chose former Denver assistant coach Adam Gase as its new head coach. Gase worked with Dysert in Denver.

ONU women's bball team moves up to 11th in national poll

The Ohio Northern women's basketball team moved up five spots to No. 11 in the sixth weekly D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.

The Polar Bears received 313 points in the poll, the most this season.

Thomas More (Ky.) reclaimed the top spot with 625 points and all 25 first place votes, followed by Amherst (Mass.) in second with 593 points and George Fox (Ore.) in third with 577 points.

Ohio Athletic Conference foe Capital moved up six spots, claiming the No. 17 spot with 197 points.

Northern returns to action Wednesday evening as they welcome Heidelberg to the ONU Sports Center, tip off set for 7:30 pm.

ONU's Price lone DIII player on NLFPA Collegiate Bowl roster

Ohio Northern senior All-American receiver/kick returner Devon Price will compete in the fifth-annual NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Carson, Calif.

The Collegiate Bowl, made up primarily of players from NCAA Division I schools, will air nationally on ESPN2.

In addition, American and National Team practices on Jan. 20 and 21 will be televised live on ESPNU. The game and practices will also be available via WatchESPN.

Price will play for the National squad, coached by former Saint Louis Rams head coach Mike Martz, and is slated to wear uniform No. 83.

The National team will practice from 12:30-3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
