BEREA — Senior Britt Lauck (Lima/Shawnee) scored 22 points and junior Amy Bullimore (Morrow/Little Miami) added 14 points to lead the No. 10/14 ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team to a 60-55 road victory at Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday night at Ursprung Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears continue their best start in school history and remain undefeated at 14-0 on the season. They maintain their 2-game lead in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 7-0 league record.
The Yellow Jackets fall to 11-3, 4-3.
Northern led 14-7 after the first period and grabbed the largest lead of the game at 21-11 with 7:35 left in the half.
ADA — The Ohio Northern football team will open its 122nd year of competition on Sept. 2 with a road contest at Adrian (Mich.) under 14th-year head coach Dean Paul.
After scrimmaging each season for the past 23 years, the Polar Bears and the Bulldogs will compete for the first time in a varsity contest since 1989.
Northern will then return home for its home opener with Heidelberg on Sept. 16 at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
ONU will then entertain Otterbein on Sept. 23 as part of Homecoming Weekend.
The Polar Bears will also host Capital on Oct. 7, Marietta on Oct. 28 and Baldwin Wallace on Nov. 11 to wrap up the regular season on Senior Day.
The Ohio Northern men's and women's swimming and diving teams are enjoying an incredible opportunity this week to use the U.S. Olympic Training Center for their annual Winter Training trip.
The Polar Bears are training at the OTC prior to and after their tri-meet at Colorado College with Wayland Baptist (Tex.) last Saturday. Northern arrived at the OTC on Jan. 4 and will return home on Friday.

CRIDERSVILLE - The visiting Ada girls basketball team rallied from a sluggish start to defeat former conference foe Perry 49-36 Monday evening.
The purple and gold evened their record at 5-5 and snapped a two-game losing skid with the win. Meanwhile, the Lady Commodores dropped to 1-10 with the defeat.
"We got off to a bad start, but the press got us going," said third-year Bulldog head coach Bill Taflinger.
Ada trailed 14-10 after one period but turned that around with a press to grab a 20-17 halftime lead.
The Bulldogs extended that edge to 34-26 after three periods and outscored Perry 15-10 in the final stanza to post the road win.
ADA — Ohio Northern had five players score in double figures and shot 59 percent from the floor in a 101-91 victory over No. 13-ranked Marietta on Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears (6-7 overall, 4-2 Ohio Athletic Conference) got 19 points each from seniors Devon Allen (Lima/Senior), Konnor Baker (Ada) and Aron Thress (Lancaster/Amanda-Clearcreek).
Junior Joey DiOrio (Columbus/Watterson) had a double-double in his first career start with 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds and junior Nate Burger (Dayton/Alter) added 17 points for ONU.
