The Northwest Conference will hold a student-athlete sportsmanship meeting at the Delphos Eagles on Friday, Nov, 22, at 9 a.m. Dr. Dan Ross of the OHSAA will be a featured speaker and will address the group starting at 12:30 p.m.
All schools in the conference will be sending student-athletes to this meeting as the conference continues its emphasis on good sportsmanship. John Edinger, principal at Delphos Jefferson is the primary organizer of this event.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with lunch scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Ross will speak to the group after lunch. The meeting will conclude at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Behind the play of an overpowering, stingy defense, the seventh seeded Ada High School football Bulldogs rolled into Wapakoneta last Friday night and defeated the sixth seeded Crestview Knights 35-0 in Division VI, region 20 playoff action. The Bulldog victory avenges a humiliating, 63-12 week 7 loss at the hands of the Knights.
With the win, Ada advances to 9-3 on the season and moves on to face the fifth seeded Wayne Trace Raiders (11-1), for the region 20 crown and a spot in the Division VI state semifinals. The game is scheduled for Friday, November 22nd at Lima Stadium.
MANCHESTER (Ind.) -- Junior Jordan Kimes scored a career-high 19 points to lead the No. 10 Ohio Northern women's basketball team to a 64-56 victory over No. 12 Carthage (Wis.) in its season opener at the Main View Tip-Off Tournament at Manchester (Ind.).
The Polar Bears are now 1-0 on the season, while the Lady Reds fall to 0-1.
Northern now advances to the Main View Tip-Off Tournament Championship and will face either host Manchester (Ind.) or Kalamazoo (Mich.) on Saturday at 7 pm.
Kimes went 8-of-10 from the field and also added seven rebounds on the evening.
Senior Cenzie Yoder also reached double figure scoring with 14 points.
SPRINGFIELD — Freshman Eric Chen won three times to lead the No. 25-ranked Ohio Northern men's swimming & diving team in a 125-106 victory at Wittenberg on Friday night at the HPER Natatorium.
The Polar Bears remain undefeated with a 4-0 record, while the Tigers fall to 2-4.
Chen won the 200 free in 1:48.94, won the 100 back in :55.66 and combined with senior John Beaschler, junior Brian Heilbronner and freshman Logan Pfeifer to win the 200 free relay in 1:29.08.
In all, ONU won six of the 11 swimming events on the night, including four of the five freestyle events.
