FROM PCESC FACEBOOK__A Letter to Our Putnam County Community

From Your Putnam County School Superintendents

Dear Putnam County Residents,

As your local school superintendents, we write to you not as politicians or advocates, but as fellow parents, community members, and stewards of the education system that defines the heart of Putnam County. We share your frustration with rising property taxes.

We, too, open those tax bills with concern. But today, we must share the complete picture of what's happening in our state – and what it means for the services we all depend on.

Vancrest of Ada resident Hilda Mumma had blast celebrating her 104th birthday. Vancrest staff gave Hilda the opportunity to check off a bucket list item: riding on a motorcycle.

She rode in the motorcycle sidecar of Joe and Doris Carl. A lead motorcycle was ridden by Anthony and Kara Brown who belong to the motorcycle group Eternally His Christian Brotherhood. Kara works at VanCrest.

Mumma said she’d like to do it again for her 105th birthday.

It's always a joyful moment when a new baby is born. Everyone in the family wants to come meet the new addition. A few days later, this precious little baby is struggling to breathe and needs to be in the intensive care unit (ICU) with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) bronchiolitis.

RSV is a virus generally present in the winter, usually at its worst in January and February each year. We are starting to see cases of RSV in our community.
