Fall is in the air in Ada, meaning four things are certain: the summer heat is leaving, the golden, rusty leaves are falling, pumpkin spice is back on the menu, and the Trike-A-Thon is near!

The Ohio Northern University Honors Program is gearing up for its annual Trike-A-Thon event on October 9, partnering with the Early Childhood Development Center to put together a unique, student-led and exciting obstacle course for preschoolers that raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The Ada High School girls soccer team received a fifth seed in their rugged 12-team super sectional drawing on Sunday, October 5.

Ada (10-3-2) will host Kalida (5-8-1) on Tuesday, Oct. 14 in their first round match. The Bulldog girls recently shut out the Wildcats 2-0 in Ada on Sept 27.

“The super sectional set-up helped us to host,” said Ada fourth-year head coach Doug Dewese. “A lot of the higher-seeded teams went to the lower part of our bracket because if they win out, they get a pretty favorable run to regionals.”
