Ruth Roider will open Gallery for the Arts in July
Ruth Roider will open the Gallery for the Arts with an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at 115 S. Main St., the former location of Main Street Live.
She said the gallery is for supporting and promoting local artists/artisans. The shop will serve as a display space for artists to sell their works as well as a studio for her.
She hopes to have ceramics, jewelry, photography, paintings, and woodworking pieces, for example.
Village Council gave permission for her to display railroad memorabilia from the depot in her new venture.
The gallery/store will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and other times by appointment and for special events downtown.
