If the sock fits, wear it - but who's in the socks?
Photos and story by Monty Siekerman
Thursday was Halloween in Ada, but these are not Halloween photos.
Last week, Ada students wore crazy socks to school - as these photos show - in support of Red Ribbon Week, sponsored by the Beta Club. The effort is an update on Nancy Reagan's "Just say no to drugs."
Here are the daily themes, which are part of the week:
Monday: Wear Red to show your commitment to a Drug-Free Life.
Tuesday: Wear mismatched clothes – Don’t Let Drugs Mix You Up!
Wednesday: Wear bright neon colors –I’m Too Bright to Do Drugs!
Thursday: Wear crazy socks –Sock it to drugs!
Friday: Wear your Purple and Gold! - Team up against Drugs!
Crazy socks are the fashion rage. Mismatched, weird, colorful socks were seen entering the school. Can you match up the shoes and socks with the students?
Our sock models (in mixed up order) are: Hannah Weatherly, Barrette Jones, Braelynn Weatherly, Ashley Mattson, Lydia Demascio and Jude Griffin.
