Artists in our midst

Fourteen painters honed their skills on Tuesday evening during the monthly PaintINN at The Inn. Here, instructor Marilyn Reed gives pointers to local residents Linda Staley (left) and Tammy Bryan. This month's picture featured a spring basket, which went with last month's two smaller paintings. Anyone can join the group anytime. The next meeting is set for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3. The art students also will meet during the summer. The cost of each lesson is $38, which includes all of the art supplies, a buffet dinner, and dessert bar. Marilyn, the instructor, resides in rural Ada and is proprietor of Marilyn's Artistry. (Monty Siekerman photo)
