Ronald Rock 1965 - 2016
Ronald E. Rock, 50, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 1:06 a.m. at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
He was born on July 25, 1965, in Findlay, Ohio, to Robert and Gloria Jean (Dyer) Rock, Sr. and they survive in Alger. Ronald married Vicki S. Conklin on June 9, 1984, and she survives in Zanesville.
Ronald retired from the United States Air Force where he served from Sept. 17, 1984 to April 1, 1988. He then worked for the Department of Defense in Columbus, Ohio.
Also surviving are his three daughters: Jessica Lawrence of Zanesville, Elizabeth “Liz” Rock of Westerville and Lindsey Rock of Pataskala; two grandsons: Logan and Liam; two sisters: Ronda (John) Wyomic of Kenton and Roberta (Frank) Karfit of Alger.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Randall Rock and Robert Rock, Jr.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 6, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Pastor Don Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger with graveside military honors conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, N.Y. 10016 and/or Hanson-Neely Funeral Home for the Benevolence of the Family at P.O. Box 41, Alger, Ohio 45812.
