Girls Basketball: Ada wins big
MAUMEE - The Ada girls basketball team captured its second consecutive game with a convincing 58-33 road victory at Maumee Valley Country Day Tuesday evening.
The purple and gold evened their record at 3-3 overall with the non-league win. The Lady Bulldogs also improved to 2-2 on the road this season.
Ada junior Maddie Gossard led four Bulldogs in double figures with 14 points.
Ada methodically pulled away in the second half to post the win.
Senior guard Haley Wyss tallied 13 points while senior backcourt mate Alyssa Vore netted 10 points and dished out eight assists. Junior guard Anney Archer scored 10 points as well.
"It was a much-needed win over the holidays," said Bulldog head coach Bill Taflinger. "Great game for Alyssa."
Teara Coulson contributed five points while Sydney Newland added four. Raina England added two markers to round out the scoring for Ada.
Ada (1-1 home) hosts county rival Hardin Northern in another non-conference tilt Monday, January 2.
