Allen Milton Abrams, Sr., 1950 - 2017
Allen Milton Abrams Sr., was called to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at his residence in Ada. He was 66 years old.
Born on Aug. 18, 1950 in Marion, Ohio, to Ronald E. and Rosella (Apthorp) Abrams, Allen is survived by his wife, Sukhee and two children, Rosie (Mark) Salisbury, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Allen Milton (Katie) Abrams Jr. of Ada.
A doting grandfather, or "Poppa," as he was known, Allen is also survived by his two granddaughters, Sophia and Evelyn Abrams; a brother, Ronald E. (Billie Brandon) Abrams of Mansfield, Ohio; and three sisters: Marlene (Stephen) Renick, Jody Strobel and Frances Pikciunas, all of Marion, Ohio.
A wise man once said, "The quality of your life is determined by the character with which you live it." This became the credo by which Allen lived his own life; rich and full of happiness and laughter, a few slick dance moves and lots of chocolate-covered peanuts and Pepsi.
Whether as a husband, father, brother, son or friend; Allen was one of the truly great men to have ever walked this earth. Smart, witty, charismatic and charming. Warm, loving, selfless and kind, are just a few of the words that best described him. However, no words in this small space can ever express the magnitude of the impact that he had on the lives of those around him, and they cannot convey how greatly he is loved and missed. We were all blessed to have known him and to have had the honor of being his family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at the family's residence in Ada, on Saturday, Jan. 14.
