Cross country to open at Bluffton on Sept. 1
The Ohio Northern men's and women's cross country teams are set to open the 2017 campaign at the Bluffton Invitational 5k under ninth-year head coach Jason Maus.
The Polar Bears will open the season on Sept. 1 at the Bluffton Invitational for the fifth consecutive season.
Northern will then travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to compete in the annual Calvin (Mich.) Invitational on Sept. 9 before competing in the Tiffelberg Open at the Clinton Heights Golf Club on Sept. 16.
After taking a week off, the Polar Bears will return to action on Sept. 29 as they compete in the All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville University.
ONU will then compete in the Wis.-Oshkosh Invitational on Oct. 14 before traveling to the Clinton Heights Golf Club on Oct. 28 to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
The NCAA III Great Lakes Regionals will be held in Delaware on Nov. 11, while the NCAA III Championships are slated for Nov. 18 in Elsah, Ill.
The men posted a 114-20 record and finished 14th at the 2016 NCAA Championships, while the women's team finished 49-49 during the 2016 campaign.
