Church to have community dinner for Alzheimer's awareness
First Baptist Church of Ada will have a spaghetti dinner and Alzheimer's presentation for the community on Sunday, Oct. 15.
Dinner will be at 6 p.m. with the presentation beginning at 7 p.m. Reservations for the spaghetti supper can be made by email [email protected] or by phone to the church office 419 634 8041 by Wednesday, Oct. 11.
The presentation will be "The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease" by Linda Pollitz, LSW, for Northwest Ohio Chapter of Alzheimer's Association.
Alzheimer's is not a normal part of aging. This program is for anyone who would like to know more about Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. This interactive program features video clips of caregivers and individuals with Alzheimer's disease. Materials will be available for the public as well.
The church address is 350 W. North Ave. The church is handicap accessible.
