The American Red Cross will collect blood donations from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9.

The Red Cross reports that the holidays are a busy time, but the need for blood doesn’t slow.

Donors are encouraged to give blood in the weeks leading up to the winter holidays to help stock the shelves for patients in need.
