Kenton man dies in crash
Joseph Wayne Hovey, 45, of Kenton died in a car-semi crash on SR 68 north of Kenton at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Office responded to the 7000 block of State Route 68, north of Kenton at 8:02 pm. A maroon Pontiac was traveling south bound on State Route 68 and started to pass a semi-truck. As the Pontiac entered into the north bound lane, the north bound International semi-truck hit the Pontiac. Hovey was pronounced dead at the scene. Both vehicles came to stop in fields on each side of the roadway.
The driver of the commercial truck, David Cherry of Windsor, Canada was treated and released at the scene.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Multi County Crash Investigation Team, Hardin County VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service), Kenton Fire Department, BKP Ambulance District and Osborne’s Towing.
