ONU cross country opens at Bluffton Invite
For the sixth consecutive season, the Ohio Northern men's and women's cross country teams will begin the season at the Bluffton Invitational on Aug. 31.
The race is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Bluffton Nature Preserve.
After opening the season at area-foe Bluffton, the Polar Bears will travel to Calvin (Mich.) to compete in the Knight Invitational on Sept. 8 before competing in the Pre-Regional Meet hosted in Shelbyville, Ind. on Sept. 15.
After taking a week off, the Polar Bears will compete in the All-Ohio Championships on Sept. 29 at Ohio Wesleyan, before traveling to Wilmington to compete in the Wilmington Invitational on Oct. 12.
Northern will then compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Mount Union on Sept. 27, where the men's team will begin its quest for a fourth consecutive OAC title and the women will look to to claim their first conference title since 2012.
The NCAA III Great Lakes Regional meet will take place on Nov. 10 in Shelbyville, Ind., while the NCAA III Championships are slated to take place on Nov. 17 in Winneconne, Wis.
