Wills (Ada) competes in regional tourney
KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Senior Ashley Ochsenhirt (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian) led a solid performance by the Ohio Northern women's tennis team at the ITA Central Regional tournament Friday-Sunday.
Ochsenhirt went 2-1 in singles and was 3-3 overall to lead the Polar Bears at the non-scoring event.
Freshman Olivia Schrager (Dayton/Miami Valley) went 2-2 in singles, junior Mackenzie Wills (Ada) was 1-1 in singles and junior Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) was 1-2 in singles play.
All four women posted 1-2 doubles records with Ochsenhirt and Wills combining on one team and Schrager and Curry on another doubles tandem.
Schrager finished with a 3-4 overall record, Wills finished 2-3 and Curry was 2-4 on the weekend.
The Polar Bears have completed their fall schedule and will return to action Feb. 23 with a home match against Oberlin.
