Liberty National invites to you to a once-in-a-lifetime celebration
Check out the historical photos of the bank below -
Liberty National Bank has been celebrating its 125 anniversary this week. From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday the financial institution will hold an open house at 118 S. Main. And, there are prizes and giveaways.
Their ATMs have gone wild. Some of the $5 bills have been swapped with $20s and some $20s for $50s. Make a withdrawal and you could get extra cash.
Also, sign up to win a $125 VISA gift card. In addition, those who open a new checking account will receive $125 (some restrictions apply).
How much was a dollar worth in 125 years ago? $1 in 1893 is equivalent in purchasing power to $25 today. For example, due to 125 years of inflation, a pair of $50 shoes purchased today would have cost $2 in 1893.
Here’s a brief history of the bank:
1893, chartered as Ada Savings Bank.
1901, became First National Bank of Ada
1902, became Liberty Bank.
1958, became Liberty National Bank, its current name for the past 60 years.
